Batumi Botanical Garden

Why go: Coastal cliffs + rich greenery close to Batumi; excellent migrant “drop-in” site, especially after showers.
Look out for: Krüper’s Nuthatch (Sitta krueperi) — highlight species; check coastal pine stands near the main entrance road.
Best conditions: Spring–autumn; best after showers when migrants drop in.
Time needed: 2–4 hours (or ½ day if you bird it slowly).
Tactics: Focus on pine stands for the nuthatch; after rain, walk sheltered paths and listen actively (calls give birds away fast).
